We invite you to stop by and see our “new” lobby, recently refreshed with Southern style by local interior designer Val Cranford. Featuring comfortable furnishings and a colorful palette, the room is an inviting space that beckons people to gather and visit with friends and family or simply to enjoy the spectacular view of our gardens.
Ms. Cranford said that furniture, in particular, was chosen with ease and comfort in mind.
“We asked some of our residents to come try out several possible chair and sofa selections to make sure they were comfortable,” she said.
She added that a mix of “old world” and modern elements were chosen to create a bright, yet soothing look for the room.
“For example, some of the fabric used in the lobby is a linen chinoiserie, and some is a more durable fabric,” said Ms. Cranford. “Draperies, pillows and trims soften the room, and an older chandelier adds elegance. The result is a lobby that actually looks like a lovely living room in someone’s home.”
