If you are interested in Lanier Gardens and feel you might qualify for affordable housing, be assured we will do all we can to make the verification process as smooth and uncomplicated as possible. We will be by your side – start to finish.
THE STEPS
One: Contact us – by phone, email, in writing or in person – to request a Lanier Gardens application packet.
Two: Once you receive and complete the application, return it to us. If you have questions about filling out the application and the information needed, designated staff will be available upon request or by appointment to provide answers. (Never hesitate to ask. That’s why we’re here.)
Three: Once we receive your completed application you will be placed on our waiting list.
Four: When your name reaches the top of the list, we will give you a list of items you need to gather prior to scheduling an interview appointment. Once all the necessary documents have been provided, we handle the details of processing the application to verify your qualification for HUD assistance. Be assured, we will do our best to make it as clear and simple as possible.
Five: Once we get an answer – hopefully a “yes” – we will happily welcome you into the Lanier Gardens community.
KEY FACTS
This is a 202/8 community designed to provide housing to elderly and disabled families who meet the eligibility and screening requirements. In order for a family/household to meet the “family type” eligibility requirements, the head-of-household, the co-head-of-household, or a spouse must be 62 or older, or disabled with a mobility impairment that requires the features of an accessible apartment.
