A: A continuing care retirement community (CCRC) is a community of independent living residences along with a coordinated system of services designed to address the comfort, wellness and health needs of adults as they grow older. As a CCRC, Wesley Woods includes independent living, personal care, memory care and skilled nursing.
Q: Does long term care insurance cover expenses in a CCRC?
A: Long term care insurance policies vary based on the provider, but most do pay for stays in the health care center, personal care or memory support areas of Wesley Woods.

A: Wesley Woods of Newnan is a part of Wesley Woods Senior Living, a charitable not-for-profit corporation affiliated with the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church and Emory Healthcare. The community has been serving seniors since 1998.

A: Absolutely -- this is your place, and it's your right to make it your own. Feel free to decorate as you wish, using your own furnishings, accessories and pictures. All kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, as well as floor and window treatments, are included with every residence.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Well-behaved small pets under 50 pounds are welcome at Wesley Woods and are an important part of our residents' lives. We do ask that you observe our leash and pet cleanup policies, and there is a pet fee.
Q: May I bring my car?
A: You are more than welcome to bring your vehicle and to come and go as you please. A parking spot is reserved for each independent living apartment home, and additional parking is available right on campus. You can also park your car in our indoor garage, if you prefer.
Q: Can I have overnight guests?
A: Yes, you're welcome to entertain friends and family as you please. There are also several guest suites available on campus, and a number of hotels are within close proximity to Wesley Woods.
Q: Will smoking be permitted?
A: Smoking is not allowed in the buildings or common areas. Although discouraged, smoking is permitted in private apartment homes and cottages.
Q: Do I need to carry homeowner's insurance?
A: Wesley Woods insures the buildings and grounds, but all residents are encouraged to maintain renter's insurance to cover personal property and liability.
Q: What services are included in my monthly fees?
A: All of our residents enjoy two or three meals daily, scheduled courtesy chauffeured transportation, weekly housekeeping, weekly flat laundry service including changing of bed linen, and a variety of activities, programs, trips and excursions. Q: What health care services are available?
A: Wesley Woods includes a 23-bed skilled nursing facility, which is available for the progressing needs of our independent and personal care residents. Our campus also includes a secured memory support wing with 16 beds for those residents affected by Alzheimer's or dementia.
Q: What optional services are available for an extra charge?
A: For an additional charge, you can use the services of our barber and beauty shop, dry cleaning pickup and delivery service, have additional meals prepared for you or your guests in the dining room, or have your meals delivered to you. We also provide personal emergency response transmitters at an additional fee.
Q: What are your guidelines for application for independent living?
A: General guidelines are that a resident must be 62 years of age or older, able to live independently and able to financially meet the projected costs of living in the community. Wesley Woods welcomes both singles and couples regardless of race, religion, sex, nationality, place of origin, or disability. After applicants meet with us for a personal interview and return their application forms and reservation deposit, we will inform the applicant within 72 hours if all standards have been met.
