It has been said that the measure of a society is how well it cares for the weakest among us – the sick, the handicapped
and the elderly. In our community, Wesley Woods has made an immeasurable difference
in caring for older adults, many of whom have no other place to go.
For more than 50 years, Wesley Woods has served seniors from all religious denominations and income levels, offering a full range of geriatric services from continuing care retirement communities and independent living campuses across North Georgia to comprehensive medical care at Wesley Woods Center of Emory University.
At the heart of Wesley Woods’ mission are our retirement communities. We offer independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care units, and several of them offer seniors the ability to move from one level of care to the next, thereby allowing them to "age in place." Of the 1,500 Wesley Woods' residents served last year, 35 were over 95 years of age, and 13 were over 100. These retirement communities serve predominately low and moderate income residents, with preference given to seniors with minimal resources.
Our mission is to help people age with grace.
